Hi everyone! My name is Lara Ratchford, I'm a first-year Mechanical Engineering major with an intended minor of LCJS. Now I'm able to proudly state that I am member of the First-Year Council (FYC) in Student Government Board. My main goal for FYC is to help diversify Pitt and create more safe spaces for people of color on campus. Therefore, I'm extremely excited to be able to speak up for underrepresented groups on campus that might not get the chance to voice their opinions on a large scale. I can’t wait to start making a difference. Let’s have a great year!
