  • Chemistry Minor

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Siddiqui, and I’m so honored to be serving as the Vice President of Operations for Pitt’s Student Government Board. I’m studying Sociology, and I am also in the Guaranteed Admissions Program (GAP) for Medical School, so I’ll be spending 8 years at Pitt! Outside of SGB, I serve as a member of PittServes’ Student Civic Engagement Council, the Vice President of PERIOD@Pitt, and In-Home Tutoring Coordinator / ESL tutor for refugees through Pitt FORGE. I love meeting new people, so please feel free to reach out or stop by my office hours to chat!

Which building on Pitt's campus would you be and why?

I would be the William Pitt Union because I am someone who loves having conversations with others, and I’m guaranteed to see at least a couple people I know whenever I’m in the WPU. An added bonus is that I love the collaborative nature of the WPU, and it’s a space for students with all types of diverse interests.

If you were chancellor of Pitt for a day, what is the first thing you would do?

In this brief 24-hour tenure, I would make it a priority to listen to and advocate for the Pitt community. The first thing that I would prioritize is communication and outreach to students, faculty, and staff to let them know that I’m here for them and that I’ll do everything in my power to make their lives better.

What is a question that is always on your mind?

How can I make someone smile today?
